On December 25th, Peter, FonFon and I joined a group for an 8 day trip to Nepal. Every page will have photos we took from each day’s sightseeing and activities during our trip.
      Here are a few pics from our Air China flight en route to Kathmandu, Nepal on Xmas Day. Of course, taking pics through plane windows isn't always easy. How come I always have the dirty windows? Anyway, we knew enough to request the right side for this direction since Air China always does a flight pass of Mt. Everest after leaving Lhasa, Tibet It’s a mandatory stop for clearance, and yes, it's elevation of a bit over 12,000 feet and does make one a bit dizzy. When we flew by Mt. Everest, the crew told us we were at an altitude of 31,000 feet and Mt. Everest is 29,035 feet. Not much of a difference eh?
       En route there were some interesting views, glaciers, cragged peaks and rivers in the Himalayas, in and out of the shadows of the Himalayas
